    I sing psalms of blackness
    In black bottom blues
    Fourth floor tenement funk
    Jisms jived through jazz
Of catz that scat be bop tunes
    Into machine gun funk
    Of hip hop rhythms
    Got my Black people vibin
    Like a John Coletrane
    Love Supreme refrain
    Or Ella’s pain
As she sang of Angel Eyes
I be watching the pulse of the people rise
With the conscious collisions of creativity
As I reincarnate the spirit of Billie
Blues be baying like Miles blaring horn
My people be wanting to get on
A Soul Train to elevate past divided states of this plane
    I multiply mind x matter x muse
    Into music
Fusing akashic memories with Black realities
    My people be singin
    Like Go down Moses
While I wade in the waters
Of old spirituals that carry me to Egypt land
Keeping my eyes on the prize
    Cause that’s Liberation
    And baby I want it
As I shake that load off on the mic
Tupac be bleeding tears through my pen
As I speak or redemption and sin
Of the desperate days when Black soul was chained
    How we sang freedom songs
    To keep our hearts strong
Even with black backs bent under a burden of wrongs
    But my soul blazes on
    Overriding these Ghetto Masquerades
    No more hit parades
Cuz I hit em up style on the mic
    Dispersing the ignorant hype
    Restoration and rejuvenation
As I reclaim the mind of Black nation
    Singing a psalm of Blackness
For all my ancestors speaking through my blood
Crying out through the mist of thousands of years
    Falling tears
    Give me your ear
So I can fill you with the stories of past glories
Reflect introspect into our present situation
    Revolutionary initiation
    Cuz I be screamin solutions
That cause revolutions of the mind
So my people rise and shine
Let your reactions be to take action
Declare independence from the brainwashed factions
Clear your minds of Western hemisphere intoxication
Let’s gain knowledge of self through divine education
Kill the ***** in you and be free
I said kill the ***** in you and be free
Cuz the face in the mirror is your only enemy
My people sing a psalm of Blackness
    Sing a song of love
Sing the song of your blood
Sing a song of a new day
Sing a song of a better way
    Cuz my people be vibin
    On these psalms of Blackness
