How Your Parents' Votes Were Counted
Once upon a time, Americans voted by Paper Ballot. At the end of the day after the polls had closed, neighborhood people, Democrats and Republicans, worked together to count the votes in the precinct (polling place) BEFORE the votes left that precinct. The count was then posted at the precinct polling place for all to see. This is the only way to insure a verifiable election. Variations of method are possible, but the elements of physical ballots which are counted and posted at the precinct before the ballots leave each precinct are essential to insure a fair and honest count.
To rig an election with the above safeguards built in, one would have to bribe many hundreds of neighborhood people, including key Democrats and Republicans in each precinct you hoped to rig. Finally, the group of people bribed at each precinct would only have access to a tiny fraction of the vote.
"A House Without Doors"
In an earlier clip during this CBS interview, Howard J. Strauss dropped this bombshell: "When it comes to computerized elections, there are no safeguards. It's not a door without locks, it's a house without doors."
The most succinct introductory summary to this mind-blowing subject is found in the ground breaking book Votescam: The Stealing of America by James & Kenneth Collier. The following is quoted with permission granted by the late James Collier in 1991:

the electoral college has not voted yet. they vote on dec 19th.Question: What is the point of voting if the electoral college is gonna flip the script!
Thx for posing this topic! Not sure if many know that ballots for Hillary are still being counted. She won by popular vote yet the 'Electoral College' ruled in favor of Trump. We have just witnessed a new version of the illegal Bush outcomes...
The presidential election of 2016 is over and done. Or is it?

Q: Where are votes still being counted?
A: Most states have yet to report officials results, meaning they are still counting absentee or mail ballots or, more likely, deciding whether to count provisional ballots. Those often are cast by voters whose names did not appear on registration lists, or who may have voted in the wrong place or lacked proper identification.
I agree with everything except, "If you thought people didn't like you because you are Black, well now you have the proof." Losing an election to republicans is no proof. Does everyone understand there are Black republicans? You have some on this very forum. Did you know democrats voted republican this year? Also, is everyone not seeing Black loved people in all kinds of careers and places across the broad spectrum of this national society?I see your point, Bro. Khasm but I have to insert a "but" in here.
Sitting on our butts and NOT doing anything to exercise our power as a people, won't change anything as far as Black people go. Wishful thinking without getting involved in the change process is not healthy and will only sustain the status quo.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was a dreamer. Today, we have to stop "dreaming" and wake up to the reality glaring before us and do something to make our lives matter and our living experiences better. To improve our condition, we have to be the leaders of our destiny, otherwise we lose our right to complain or be taken seriously when we do complain.
This election year, Pandora's box has been opened, the truth has been revealed--now what Black people? If you thought people didn't like you because you are Black, well now you have proof. If you thought there was an "elite" running this nation and pimping the rest of us, it's real. If you thought you were being economically oppressed and relegated to a working class that struggles to earn a decent living wage, here we are. But maybe we haven't experienced enough suffering yet because nothing much has changed in terms of us using our collective power.
We must STOP acting like we're wealthy when we're not and spending our hard earned paycheck that barely covers monthly expenses the minute we get paid. Can we live without weave for a year? Are you not beautiful without it? Can we live without paying to get our nails done? Can we stop eating out so often--especially because it's killing us too? Black people are prolific consumers of goods and services--Corporate America knows it and, sadly, we don't have a penny in a personal savings account.
Not voting hurts us more, I believe, even when the candidates aren't exactly what we need and face it, they never are. But, we must educate ourselves about the truth when it comes to politics and cultivate candidates that will support our common cause and hold them accountable. We must unite.
Today, it might not mean much or make a lot of sense to some of us, but it's a start. If we want to unplug from the system, okay, but unplug 100% because to do it in some instances and not in all won't change anything overall. We must stop allowing others to fool us, but more importantly, we must stop fooling ourselves.
Our ancestors fought for our right to vote because they figured out how critical voting was. But, they didn't expect us--the inheritors of their legacy--to be fools and prey to a corrupt system and blindly accept what's promised and not delivered. They fought for what they believed in, why can't we?
In the spirit of sisterhood...
