I'm checking out their names: President Judge, Senior Judge...yea this is a corporation.. How could they get kickbacks unless the detention facilities are already a money making racket?

Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (CPSZ) Expands Client Base in a $37 Billion Market

NOTE TO EDITORS: The Following Is an Investment Opinion Being Issued by the IO News Wire

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Feb 9, 2012) - Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CPSZ) dba EZ Card & Kiosk, the industry leader in offering financial transaction services to correctional and judicial markets in the US, announced they are expanding aggressively and have secured nearly 4% of the total daily population of inmates in the US. Continental hopes to see the same success that companies like Corrections Corp of America (NYSE: CXW), The Geo Group (NYSE: GEO) and Consolidated Communications Holdings (NASDAQ: CNSL) have gained through being involved in correctional facilities.
IBIS World reports that the Correctional Facility Market size is over $36 billion dollars and expected to continue to grow. As of 2009, an estimated 1% of the US adult population was incarcerated, with nearly 3.1% under correctional supervision. This provides a tremendous target market for Continental to have utilize their proprietary systems.

" The FBI reported in September 2011 that 853,000 people were arrested for marijuana-related violations in 2010. Of the total, 750,000 were for simple possession, 103,000 were arrested for the sale or manufacture of marijuana.
Regardless of where one might stand on the issue of marijuana legalization, it reasons that contracts between prisons and states may not foster a fair consideration of the issue in the courts.
Marijuana use is also believed to be on the rise among teens and young adults. If the marijuana laws find themselves overturned, the justice system will find itself in a difficult position to fill nearly one million cells. Where will they come from? "

This is sad. I read on this forum in another thread that America has the biggest prison population in the world. I just don't see how we as African Americans can't see a correlation between the past and present in regards to this system. Yeah, they may not call it 'slavery' and have come up with other terms to do what they want to do to continue to suppress the Black man, but it's all the same in regards to doing just that; keeping the Black man suppressed via the Black people suppressed. Sure, there are many other kinds of people caught up in the prison system, but it was obviously a sacrifice the rich white elite was willing to make in order to keep the Black man down. I hope we can look pass their terminologies and just get to the real issue in order to be able to put up a real defense.
