thru the vastness of american time and space
i peer at my past and see my future…and it’s a waste
and i pray to God that some of the things i could erase
because everyday i taste the conceptions and misconceptions of those who wore blackface
with stereotypical, sometimes hypocritical points of view that stick to my skin like paste
living in this f_ckin rat race, the images i see on tv compel me to feel an utter and long lasting disgrace…

Lord…please erase this wicked page from Americas racist stage…
before my passion ends up in an oasis of rage and my shell rots in a stagnant cage…

    like jj evans screaming dynomite…
when the direness of his spot in the windy city wasn’t tight
    it wasn’t even halfway aiight
he was dumb in school…but he had artistic value and an urban insight…
now how many black kids do you think nowdays are just like him
who said f_k the learning tree since they themselves was a stem
who would rather rap about being a black mack and slaying hoes like lil kim
then reading the works of Langston Hughes and shining their mental like a gem
us black men would rather be like goldy or pretty tony imitating iceburg slim
too many petty wannabe black caesers needing Jesus
or at least a decent leader who stays away from loose women crack and cheeba
yo...mean white machine hear me scream…do i gotta be obese eating too much cake before you give me a f_kin break
from da images of da phoney and fake…cause i know my foundation is what your trying to take

Lord…please erase this wicked page from americas racist stage…
before my passion ends up in an oasis of rage and my shell rots in a stagnant cage…

let's play where’s waldo…how far did he go
chillin with his reverse picaninny pal erkle
family matters was an ill dysfunctional circle
with a dl gay dad that kept ish hidden like a crapin turtle
but back to this cat erkle who made my head hurt so….much
are white writers even in touch with black americans?
are brothas gonna work it out like willie hutch or stay black barbarians?
too many of our black youth have their mental buried in
stacks of bullcrap…in the life of facts
who was da one on rollerskates riding from da back
and who was da only one with a nickname that was lame as crack
it rhymed big ol booty bouncing a back pack
which reminds me of da parkers…cause that show has the knack
for showin men chasing brazen h0e idols that act like the have no self respect
Wait a sec…was it not too long ago we were considered wild animals from da congo?
who could rip any negro spiritual song fast or slo...
dumb creatures of habit who f_k like rabbits
black men carrying da devils seed cause da front of our pants are padded
and our lingo is so enigmatic….hold up
that still sounds like today…it’s funny how tv can turn your head the wrong way

Lord…please erase this wicked page from americas racist stage…
before my passion ends up in an oasis of rage and my shell rots in a stagnant cage…
tv = tell-lie-vision from da cradle until old age
will we black people ever look clear enough to fully gauge?

    You dropped mathematical equations...
that don't factor in equality...just the insanity
of the tragedy that has been inflicted upon
    black humanity...

    Third eye...wyyyyyyyyyyde open

You know, i should have known this as going to be deep but gee, I wasn't quite ready for this. First of all, your rhymes were off the hook. But, even more so, the message laid and how you presented it. You were so on point with those references, and some of them, like the father on Family Matters, I've thought to myself and then said, nah...Masterful write poet, masterful....
