Crumpled visions lay in ruin at my feet
Once exclusive words of wisdom, become elusive isms
When syllabic prisms play hide and seek
    Still I press on……
As philosophical whispers start to flirt
With the inner-child, who loves to run wild
Regardless of the pain, he dances in their rain
    of thoughts, which leaves him
    drenched in
    false pretenses
    of affection
    only to reverse their direction
unlike how they came, without grace
Just like that ! Without a trace
leaving salty tracks across my face
    All the while…..
Crumpled visions lay in ruin at my feet
exclusive words of wisdom, become elusive isms
when syllabic prisms play hide and seek
    yet still I press on…
    As I pause to pray…..
Dear literary lord, let your light
    shine upon this weary mind
that craves, so badly to raise,
    despite the lack of praise,
this lost art from the grave
If not… then give me strength
    To write at length
    And dish out doses of
    Common sense
If not… then allow my reality
    to penetrate my soul
    making love to my creativity
    releasing fertility seeds into
    that spiritual spot
    deep within me,
    Please literary lord
    let the vernacular befriend me
    blending pain with pride
taking my stress for a ride
    until it’s gone

    Until then…..
    I got to press on
