Black People Politics : President Obama should not be welcomed at March on Washington commemoration

Dr. King saw that farce of a march and rolled over in his grave.... and promptly went back to sleep. The March in 1963 had FOCUS, had OBJECTIVES, fired the populace up to ACTION.

The March in 2013 had no goals OR aspirations, but did include a photo op for a bunch of politicians, including the Attorney General, Eric Holder, talking about "we got a loooooong way to go....." SMH

Brother, unless "Blueprint for Black Power" or "Psychology of Black on Black Violence" remain in your rotation of studies, we can't critically discuss the parameters of liberation or how one liberates.

I'll say this, Dr. Amos Wilson taught us to never settle for symbols of progress and to fight for actual progression. King realized this towards the end of his time, which is why he expanded his objectives beyond the "Farce on Washington" as Malcolm titled it.

Our people must cease this contentment with symbols of progress(i.e. Obama,Zimmerman trial protests) and focus our efforts towards actual revolution. Anything done for the cause of Black people is depleted if it has no economic initiative that fuels it.
which revolution did amos wilson lead?

That march was about protest. This march and the President speech on Wed., will commemorate that march and encourage us to not forget Martin's.words that was spoken throughout his reign as our Civil Rights Leader...words of inclusions .....Freedom...for all. Using what energies you could call upon to be action oriented to get the job done.
what energies has obama used to get what done?

which revolution did amos wilson lead?

Well, Dr. Wilson, like most of our true revolutionaries(Dr. Khalid,Malcolm, Listervelt Middleton,Mark Clark,Assata,Vessey,Nat Turner,Martin Delaney), are struck down early in their careers, before their full plans are implemented. The good Dr. was only on the basic level of his plan when they silenced him. See, "they" gave Dr. King a large venue to give his "I Have a Dream" speech because that speech reflected idealism and didn't threaten their American social order.

When King began to speak out against America's ills however, is when he was assessed as a threat, and the Rockefellers who needed Vietnam to continue and "integration" to happen could not let some Black Baptist preacher who had led millions subvert their plan. To gain a better understanding of the platform of true Pan-African building,I would suggest you read Blueprint for Black Power.

My People ...My People ...My People ...

Who are you? As in ... how old are you? Where you there when ole' Jim Crow denied you access to ... better! As in holding the highest office in the land!!!

Or ...

Do you expect our current historic President of this country / Commander In Chief of the US Military, to put on his proverbial “supa-man cape”, with magic wand in hand & PRESTO ... 500yrs of African American degradation ... jus' erased with a poof of smoke?

You speak of our Presidents contradictions??? To hear you tell it! … Never acknowledging that this man is the PRESIDENT of all … of ALL who hate, love respect & revile him! He LEADS this country, having the wisdom/savvy of this country’s constitutional law under his belt.

Might I suggest a healthy recur concerning the law(s) governing “his office”?

Then speak?
