under the sun
In the stillness of a silent, pre-dawn morning
I await your arrival with anticipation
sitting in the open air, drinking coffee
on a crisp, winters morning

A small frontline of wispy
floating cloud
sways back and forth
the morning star is still bright
in a pearly grey sky

You announce your impending arrival
by turning the pearly grey to silver,
to palest yellow, to deep gold

As the sky fills piece by piece
with your sunshine
you rise in my world
on my horizon
in a display of splendour

This is the moment
I have been waiting for
when you rise
as a perfect globe

This is when you "shine"
turning my world
magenta
shot through
with splashes of pinks

No artist could capture
the pure beauty of this colour

Within minutes you change
to a firey red, then
to a deep burnt orange
peppered with deep gold
and finally
to bright, clear, sunflower yellow

I sit and stare at you in awe
and feel sorry for those
who are blind and cannot see
your magnificence

You are mother nature's
greatest work of art

As I sit and look at you
I know only complete peace
and pure happiness
for you are so beautiful
so serene

And I treasure
our pre-dawn rendezvous

a radiant view captured in you as i awaken
taken by rays of heaven reflecting from your eyes
your golden hue illuminates the sky to crisp blue as the universe looks at you at it's preparation saying "here's a wish for all seasons...."

as i take a sip or two of my coffee i put down the cup as you catch me gazing up asking "what are thinking??"
i reply "oh nothing" coming back to earth after third heaven sinking...

thanx for this inspiration
thanx for this peace of the day...

a..thank you and I share your thoughts, this is a beautiful time of the day to sit and wait and watch...

baller..thanks for the read and the words..isn't it strange how we equate things in nature with peace and silence, I guess it's because that's exactly the feeling they give when you are in their presence....

j'hiah...thanks for the words...glad you were peacefully inspired..
