Many of my Facebook friends are posting their updates.

Prayers going up for all those in the DFW area.

May your families be safe and whole.

.....Is Sister River in the Dallas area?....or any other Destee members?

I saw this on the news. It is so sad....I feel for the families...

while i was viewing the news, it was showing the truck being lifted up and thrown in the air. [IMG] now that is scary...

yeah i saw that on tv too during a program they were showing. they had to interrupt the program. i was like this better be really important for real. and indeed it was. i was like oh hell because i live east of there and you know how weather fronts move from west to east. and my friend's fiancee was just there for his job not long ago, but it is a good thing he got out of there before this bad boy hit. my prayers go out to them otherwise.

We get bad tornadoes here in OKC too. I mean, when they come, talking bout running for the nearest storm shelter for fear of being lifted in the air or a house landing on you. It is scary..

    In the Spirit of Sankofa,

.......Thanks cherryblossom, prayer of the righteous availeth much. Dallas is my home and that of my daughter, LadyLC, along with her family, brother and sisters; many other relatives/friends, as well. Remarkably, everyone is fine and there were no deaths, as james aptly states. If not mistaken, river and TexasDiamond both live near Dallas.

    Peace In,

I live a few miles from this truck stop. We were OK but there was a lot of damage done by these storms. I've lived in Dallas all my life and can't remember a time where there were that many tornadoes touching down at one time here. It was very scary since tornadoes are so unpredictable.
