As women we hold power
until we start givin it away
never caring if they stay
only to wonder
if this asunder
will make us stronger
will it keep longer
than the last man
so take your stand
hold onto that power
baby girl its your tower
of strength

but, they give away that power
to anyone who wants it
for a beer, a hit, these **** tricks
let everyone know
they in it for the dough
self respect don't mean a thing
popping out kids with no weddin ring
trying hard as to not feel
trying to figure out how they got the raw deal

let me tell you

you gave your power away
the minute you lay
down with him, him, him, and Jim
do I need to explain
why you alone in the rain
when the good times did end
why you left alone to fend
these was not your friends, hommies or boys
all they did was treat you like their toy

because

you gave your power away
didn't care what the day
and now standing in this dank room
wondering if the drama will end soon
wonderin what him, him, him and Jim
are talking about you or taking it to the rim
in the back corner by the jukebox
ain't you glad you helped them get their rocks
off, girl, you gave your own power away

and, in doing so,

you gave our power away
and now right here today
no choice in how they see us
your loud *** mouth can't cuss
loud enough to take back our power

Randee........your insight is profound...your message is even deeper......but not so
that it is incomprehensible.

Women do not realize the power they have.......if they did
we wouldn't have as many issues, you address many serious issues here
the poem is great the message even greater………..

Let the wisdom continue to flow!!!!! I’m in your corner.
