It's like nobody raised 'em--poor babies,
like they just skipped conception and birth,
and grew on their own through the concrete
already thickened and thorned, worried and worn
no love in their making, only pleasure, or vice
    poor poor poor poor babies
still born to pay a price

    poor babies
    of the conceptual
    decided to take it
    multi directional
    did not heed
    the voice
    of LOVE

    A rose
    never grows
    from concrete
    nor does a wolf
    ever protect
    their sheep

    The price
    to be rich
    here
    Is the price
    to not exist there

    Poor babies
    created their own hell
    And so it is
    In hell they dwell
    What can (I) say
    But oh well

    But one question
    How do you suppose
    They can maintain
    their beast
    When the energy
    Truly becomes released

    You know
    That final hour
    When mosts
    "heads"
    Will lose power

    I never feel bad
    for myself
    I never chose anyone else

    To be gods but you
    And in the sky
    You left me
    Blue

I hear you, but them poor babies belong to their parents..
parents with no respect for the wonder of creation,
that don't know what their sex is for.. that found out it
feels good and mistook that as it's purpose.. the lives
them poor babies lead is a result of those selfish parents not
    thinking past that feeling.

    Poor Babies indeed...

I’m so glad this piece resurfaced, otheerwise I would’ve missed its excellence. I absolutely LOVE this piece! Its impact is incredibly powerful! It states a problem and its effect and lying between those lines reside the solution.

I had to read this one to my mother… she shares my sentiment!

Well stated! I am truly enjoying your work. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    Master Poet skuderjaymes,

Wow, just wow. Immediately when I opened this page and saw the poem was right justified I knew the subject matter was something the speaker thought needed adjusting because it was askew. Oh, and the way this piece spoke to me, demanding my anger, sympathy and sorrow was almost too much to bare. What really took my breath away is when I realized there are actually three poems here. (If what I'm about to do is offensive to you please know that is not my intent and if you let me know I will remove it immediately) Second poem to the left. Third poem bolded.

Still, born or still born. i could read it either way.
I could go on forever. I am in awe of this piece. If it is at all possible, may I borrow your poetic tool chest? Wow. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent.
