Political Oath No More…Our Time Is Now

    Anything and everything
    All at the same time
    Poverty and Nothing
All in this great world of mine
    Upstanding and Demanding
    Political oath
Crying and suffering from a child with no room for growth
All around us there are signs
Some have hope, while some make us deny
What ever happened to the sight of a better life?
My guess it was blinded by the light
    Light of untruth
    Light of unjust
    Light of everything not right

    We have everything and anything
    All at the same time
    Plus poverty and nothing
All in this great world of mine
    There’s an upstanding and demanding
    Political oath
But still there’s crying and suffering
For a child with no room for growth
    How is that possible?
How can we let that be?
It’s all because we have not the sight to see
Our eyes are open but closed all at once
Tears fall in buckets and yet truth comes in but an ounce
The truth may set us free
But remember the truth can also lose me

So we have everything and anything
    All at the same time
    Mixed with poverty and nothing
In this great world of mine
There maybe an upstanding and demanding political oath
But all we see is crying and suffering
From a child without a place for growth
So, what do we do now?
Sit and wait for the political oaths to kick in?
Or, are we going to fight and make sure that we win?
    Take what’s ours
    And keep what’s theirs
Keep doing that until we get our fair share
Give the politics what they’ve given us
Trick them and gain their trust
Make them think that we care about their health
When all we really want is our own wealth
We’ll change the tricksters and liars
    Into poor, homeless, starving whiners
    Take the controls
    And ease our souls
    Why

Because we have everything and anything
    All at the same time
No longer dealing with poverty and nothing
In this great world of mine
In truth we know there’s no upstanding and demanding
    Political oath
But at least we no longer see crying and suffering
From the people with no room for growth

    Why?
    Because our time is here
So let's do what needs to be done
    Before the end draws near
And we lose what we once thought we won

    Thank you

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I've been on some forums where they flat out tell you that you don't belong there, so it's really a great comfort to have such a warm welcome.

This is I believe the second piece I've read from you, another "thinking" piece. I suppose with having everything and anything at the same time, we never quite know what to expect next, and are always on our guard 24/7. Welcome poet, continue to express and enjoy.
