Just laying in bed and somehow it hit me.

    "What's in your hand?"

Folk all over are talking about "more images of Black love." And folk are talking about in Hollywood's movie theatre. And though an elder said "How about moving beyond 'Impressions'," I must again ask "What's in [our] hand?"

Kids are beating each other up today--and they pull out their cameras to catch it.

    Now--Black reader--you have a Black lover.

    And you have a camera.

    Let's review--"What's in your hand?"

    Enough said.

What about an organized campaign toward changing the landscape of Youtube. Just regular couples putting forward videos of them making out. That's your hot, graphic, African love scene everyone is bickering about.

We can flood Youtube, flood World Star, flood whatever else.

Worse comes to worse, "Hollywood" will say "Consumers want Black love" and put a script together.

But if we really work on it, maybe one of us will say "Consumers want Black love" and "Nollywood" will have an American wing.

So let's talk about getting this done. What should I do?

I am thinking of making a video (explaining the program--introducing myself and the name "ABSiblings" on Destee.com) and putting an official list of snippets of Black love on a website. In addition, following the Elder's advice, we can make each couple explain a fundamental aspect of a good relationship (or I can provide a list in my introduction video) and then the making out will begin.

What else needs be done? How can you help?

And most importantly; Can you dig it?

    HTP!

P.S. Turns out Firefox won't allow text boxes for new threads, but explorer will; hence only the latter will post new threads. That's your heads up.

P.P.S. This sounds creepy--but that's Europoisoning. Black love made you--Black love sustained you--and Black love must continue for our race to continue. HOTEP!

I should read before I write. Certain traditional African cultures see intimacy as sacred; not up for public scrutiny.

We should keep to our ancestors and do the matter another way.

At least I get a thread to review from you.

    Hotep, Brother.

I'll review Clyde Coger's recommended threads; but so far, it seems that videotaping affirmations between lovers would be the best bet.

A kind of affirmation would be, simultaneous speaking:

    "I trust you
    I honour you
    I understand you
    I love you
    You complete me"

    So much to research.

I agree. It must be a small ten second clip that explains the project so that sell out Blacks dont come in turning it in another way. Example:

This is an affirmation of Black love and that means BLACK MAN AND BLACK WOMAN. Capturing the genuine love, not porno, soft porn or Show offism. Just love and happiness to resist the omission of our images in public, in radio, on TV in ADs.

Cool. Is that a suggestion for the announcement of the project?

Would anyone be a willing promoter?

Does anyone have anything to add or subtract from the above example?

I like the idea of ten seconds. But I am unsure of the "not porno" part. Not that I want porno, but I find it superfluous to say and it makes the video less child-friendly.

Also, I find that the affirmation isn't mentioned. Should that be the case?

    --

Edit: Technically a voice-over of images of Black love flashed in 10 seconds would make the video compelling and interesting.

Though, maybe 'words' over 10 seconds would be a better visual effect.

There's also the combination of the two.

Maybe a project needs its components dissected in order to address it properly. I should get to work on that.
