The iMiXWHATiLiKE squad linked up with fellow programmers Von Martin and
Bryan Bernard for this interview with Khafra Kambon, head of the Emancipation committee in
Trinidad & Tobago and Dr. David Hines, broadcaster and Guyanese Professor at the University
of Arizona. We talked with them about police violence against African people in the Caribbean and
similarities between those incidents of police brutality and shared relationships held by Black people
there and in the U.S. with their respective states. We also talked about the state of Caribbean media
and its relationship to political struggle historically and today.
