Police yesterday broke up a Puerto Rican Day block party in Newburgh. Women and children were pepper sprayed, and cameras which videotaped the police were confiscated. Community members plan to attend the Newburgh City Council meeting tonight to register their complaints. Our Hudson Valley reporter Don DeBar received this report from Newburgh activist Omari Shakur:
