    Pay for what you need

Pay for what you need in order to build
Through needs we escape being raped or killed
As needs elevate our greatly skilled
Whose needs when unmet go against what's willed

Pay for what you need: "Freedom isn't free"
Said Douglass then Walker sang hopefully
"Let a people loving freedom," said she
"Come to growth" knowing "freedom isn't free"

Pay for what you need for profit to net
As Douglass stated "men may not get
All they pay for in this world, but [or yet]
They must certainly pay for what they get"

Pay for what you need before Walker dies
He did. How about before George James dies?
He did. How about before Wilson dies?
He did. How 'bout before we join those guys?

Pay for what you need no matter your pay
And when others don't you stand up and say
"My sibling our children lose their way
When providers can not afford to stay"

Pay for what you need to support your own
For needs basis our African throne
And needs sponsored expand African grown
Needs making what's reaped what's African sown

Pay for what you need; for all else impedes
As this fault fruits the faults in our seeds
That "the Negro pays for what he wants" leads
Miller's next phrase, "and begs for what he needs"

We pay for our worth…in blood…everyday
Paid for existence…and all that we say
Freedom is free. God granted us that
The enemy would like us to put our lives in their hat
So they talk about payments for things not theirs
And reference past encounters who auctioned their wares
When a misguided soul no matter how good that soul be
Take a treacherous path…and call that path our destiny
If that path leads to a cliff…are we to follow blindly
Should we just embrace our faith…til tomorrow or death set us free
Doesn’t growth call for us…to recognize rights and wrongs
To take the path so far ignored. Even if we walk alone

I have paid my way. I have given and gave
Brought clarity to the past…and for the future, I’ve saved

    I’ve paid.

    (I DON’T BEG)
