The anger once stuffed down my stomach gurgles up into my throat
The pain that I was forced to swallow turned to sea; capsized my boat

A malignant tumor, a cancerous growth, or something ending in “oma”
Swells inside me, won’t be contained… won’t reenter its coma

And if I let it rage free, like fire from dragon jaws
Let it scratch free of its weathered cage, torn by lion paws

If I open my mind and pen, writing truth for all to see
Will this quiet the storm that brews? Will I ever be free?

Or will it be just one more hope that flys by like the wind?
Or will it finally swallow me…

    Maybe that’s the fitting end

When the anger is deep enough you do feel it in your throat...you posed this so it could be felt, and it was.
