No they do not, since the electoral votes per state depends on the population of the state. What you want is that they have no power at all, no say in the running of the country, and will then feel that there is no reason for them to be a part of the country. The Electoral College is an absolutely brilliant way of insuring that each state is represented in the election for President. Hillary knew what was at stake, and should have sought out those rust-belt voters to solidify her candidacy, instead she ignored them and well she sees the consequences. The Democratic party should learn from this mistake, use the knowledge to win the mid-term elections and the next presidential election. I doubt that will happen though, because it seems many of them lack any sort of self-reflection capability. They are looking for an external answer, when the answer is internal.
