If this was a perfect world
I feel that I would be free.
Not judge for my creed or race
Judge for my ability.

Not judge for my what for I am
Or what I might become.
But judge for who I am
And all the thing that I’ve done.

If this were a perfect world
My ambition would sore high..
I could thank GOD for the life that he gives
But wouldn't be afraid to die

I know he's beside my every step
As I walk across his land.
I could never fear a single step
Because my life is in his hand.

But this not a perfect world
Immorality is a fact.
My brother lives to go to jail,
My mother lives to smoke crack.

My sister raises five kid’s alones
Another is on the way.
Born all five with a heart of stone
Torn by the darkness of day.

My nephew sell drug by the pound
Does drive-bys in the night.
Throwing his color up with a frown
Then killing every thing in site.

At time can't tell what’s right
At time can’t see what’s wrong.
But what I see is what's to come
A world with a heart of stone.

So why don’t you step into my world?
And reap what you have sown.
Gangbangs and drive-bys
Pimp snatching girls from home.

A little girl does trick at night
False illusions fill her curls.
But these or some of the things that
You might see if you step into my world.

Step into my world I warn you
There ain't no turning back.
A junkie overdoses on drugs
Another mother is hooked on crack.

I hear cries from hungry children
Running races through my mine.
Step into my world these or some
Of the thing that you might find.

Drive-bys in cars that can’t be trace
****** smoking Moe’s and zay.
211 turns into 187’s
This **** happen every day.

******* are out there doing unbelievable crime
**** you never ever dream of.
Pulling arm robberies that ****'s nickel and dime,
The streets has lose all it's love.

Knowing this how could you tell me
That racism has gone underground.
And at the same time I see
The flags of injustice are flown all around.

I know you, I know what your up to,
I definitely know what you stand for.

You the one that cries opportunity
But be hide that close door.
Opportunity become miseducation in poverty
stricken environments.

Subsidize housing and Subsidies from the government
Crack sells making bail and dope fins,
Stagnation incarceration mixed with lose dreams.

All because you think that I’m a formality
The sound of gunshot and destruction is my reality.

All because you think you have rob me of my goals
While the words I have a dream burns inside my soul...
While the words I have a dream burns inside my soul...
While the words!

If this were a perfect world
I feel that I could be free.
Not judge for what I am
But what I’ve come to be...
