Pentagon study declares American empire is ‘collapsing’
Report demands massive expansion of military-industrial complex to maintain global ‘access to resources’

... An extraordinary new Pentagon study has concluded that the U.S.-backed international order established after World War 2 is “fraying” and may even be “collapsing”, leading the United States to lose its position of “primacy” in world affairs.

The solution proposed to protect U.S. power in this new “post-primacy” environment is, however, more of the same: more surveillance, more propaganda (“strategic manipulation of perceptions”) and more military expansionism ...

Nefeez Ahmed seems so London Patriotic, yeah, "Win team!" while at the same time there is an underlying taste of reverse fabricated propaganda salted through what he says.

He is claiming that we are forging secret alliances, (secret to everyone else except Nefeez) to destroy Iraq. Iraq is already destroyed, what we want to do is support a good guy as their president and be happy for them.

Even with our miserable left over military aircraft and ships, (since well equipped national security divisions of the military have become the enemy as far as the left is concerned) it is still good enough to go in and take down the Middle East, take over the oil fields, but we don't. We've had plenty of opportunity -- for years.

The Communistic Professors during the Vietnam war got out the brainwashed student body to march with the cry, "The U.S. is warring for their oil! "It's the oil!" Vietnam didn't have enough oil for themselves. They had only 1% oil for their own country.

We went through and took down Hussein. We didn't take any oil for this nation. Not a drop.

Now Nefeez is stating at this late date that we are after Iraq's oil. He is so worried about Iraq, spewing fabricated information. Why do you suppose this Londoner, "Yay Team!" is so concerned about old news. Why isn't he "Yay Team!" for the entire British resolve?" His heart is with Iraq, where we have driven ISIS out. Win Win for our Team.

He states that we are fighting an endless war against ISIS. Yet we recently have brought a devastating damage to them. He doesn't want the U.S. to interfere with Iran. Why is that? Is he worried we are going to go after their oil? Iran has no evil intent against the U.S.. Right? Not right.

Who are these people in the world: North Korea helped by Iran, China with N. Korea as their strategic place having China made transport and weapons, Russia who told us to quit intimidating N.Korea.

When listening and reading so called truthful commentary, these are words without proof: didn't seem or seems, may, could be, possibly, suspect, concerned, essentially, appeared, if, etc..

The sheep in wolf's clothing has to look like a sheep and bah like a sheep or his cyber war would not be successful.

Nafeez is the wrong person to attack willa, by doing so, you dismiss his source, completely. Here again, is the very first portion in the article:

I am loving this discussion you posted. I listened to the Council on Foreign Relations. I read the summary of the Pentagon Study. So having the same information source that Nafeez had, I come up to a different conclusion and I don't see a reason to turn from my thoughts there as he is rather a little too intent on running it to an extreme for a concluded downfall. I took notes because this is all too interesting. Thank you.

First there IS a struggle going on regarding our traditional primacy (power) as a world super primacy, meaning power. Nafeez has us down and out.
Here are some points I made notes on:
Human series of cycles that effect the power of a nation. "Nero played his fiddle while Rome burned." The Greeks voted out their power for equal power among citizens with no central government for organization. Russia dictator spent money to build a military while the people went without. Bankruptcy, so there is no more USSR, etc
    .

Lack of governing responsibility degrades power of a nation, all play and anything goes brings a down fall.

There has to be a well balanced application of governing power. Constant restraint by the people on a Central government diminishes decisions to do anything. And a runaway power over the people, dictatorship brings abuse and famine.

Media forms the way people think and accept things rather than doing their own research, and having a moral guide. That is why some governments want to get religion out.

How is branding going for power? Or in other words what is America suppose to stand for? It's brand. Previously the people had to learn to live up to the brand of America as stated in our Constitution. Now there are people who want to do away with our Constitution. What will replace it?

I think there is an issue with Truth. Think of this, if something isn't true, how can we build on it? It doesn't exist. What does it do to our next generation? How does false platforms, false patterns effect our prosperity and clear intellect to make crucial judgements" I think there is a dire importance with Truth. Think of this, if something isn't true, how can we build on it? It doesn't exist. What does it do to our next generation? How does false platforms, false patterns effect our prosperity and clear intellect to make crucial judgements"

Do you know that in some states when kids go to school and register there is a choice between 7 genders?

The whole world is equal to these same kind of issues. It is more a matter of will the world lose power?

How come our navy and aircraft is in such reported poor and out dated condition? Wait, there was a General yesterday that said we have too many Generals we're paying for and so we can't afford ships and aircraft. Still, that seems exaggerated, huh? What is going on I wonder. Maybe they got something going on in hanger 51. NASA?

Pentagon Study Declares American Empire Is ‘Collapsing’

... Evidently, the Pentagon is seeing something similar — nations that are standing up to the US and not allowing the US to dictate the world order as well as civil society revolts around the world that threaten governments. They see these kinds of resistance movements, not just outside but inside the United States.Their report, “At Our Own Peril: DoD Risk Assessment in a Post-Primacy World,” published by the US Army War College sees the fall of the US empire but is stuck in the same mindset, so it urges more military, more aggressive gathering and use of intelligence and seems stuck in the small box that is leading to the loss of US superiority ...

It's not so much as it is poor or outdated as it is the Navy has suffered severe cut backs in funding that has impacted technical schooling, updates for weapon systems, repair and upgrading of equipment and procurement of new equipment. These systems are very technical and when they work, they have no peers -NONE! But the problem is cost and the technology is so advanced, it takes years to work out the bugs and level the down time due to failure. The cost of these fighter air craft is staggering! And they face a lot of technical problems due to constant upgrades and stabilization and lack of funding for repairs. Too many flag offers? That's probably true but it is not enough to impact the defense budget in any meaningful way. Again, it's the cost because the sophistication of these weapon systems that can very quickly and easily exhaust any budget.
