    "Earth has no sorrow That heaven cannot heal…"
    - Richard Smallwood

    I remembered this when I
    Walked the shores of yesterday
    Collecting the pebbles of pain
    Into my bruised weary arms;

    I looked over the shores before me
    Watching the waves roll in with a
    Quiet thunder of redemption for all
    The steps that have led me here;

    Off to my left I see a pier high above
    The rolling shores and I wonder if I
    Could carry my pains that far when
    I Have carried them so long already;

    I venture forth towards the pier as
    Each step felt heavier than the one
    Before And I stopped every few
    moments to Pick up pebbles lost;

    these new pains are not mine but left
    by many who walked before and I know
    that leaving them will, through time
    grow into stones blokcing another’s path;

    I reach the pier with my arms stretched to
    Their limits from the weight of depression
    Laid heavy upon my chest and my back is
    Bent from the adjustment of weight to walk;

    As I reach the end of the pier I can see far across
    The sea where the sun is setting on another day
    And I look down into the ravaging waves that
    Crash against the foundation on which I stand;

    I slowly begin to drop the pebbles into the sea
    Giving each one a chance to resurface and
    Watch as each stone slowly disappears into the
    depths of the ever increasing ravage of the sea;

    as each pebble is released I feel my strength
    returned and my arms build strength for the
    weight that I carried has become lighter as I
    continue to release the pebbles of pain;

    With the drop of the last pebble I find my
    weakness is gone and my arms no longer
    weary from the past and the ravaging seas
    below me have subsided to a calming peace;

    I shall sit on the piers edge and listen to the
    hush as I await another traveler to come toss
    stones into the sea as the sun sets for the night
    waving goodbye to me with a crescent moon smile.

    Always...you take me there...

    to the beach...to the garden...to the sea....to a pier....GOD is in you...and when you write...you show the beauty of his 'earth'

    Yes D....if you wait long enough....a traveller will come
