    Act 1

Come on over for some peach cobbler
    And bring your oil can
So you can fix the screeeeeeeek
    In the screen door
    Will you brother?

I got coffee to go along with the cobbler
    Made a big dinner yesterday
And got leftovers... sorry you couldn’t make it then
But you can come on along today, right
You know gumbo’s always better the next day

Came across some pictures the other day
My brother with the stern mysterious look
Oh my, made me want to run to you and grab you
And give you that big sister hug, remember like we used to
Long time since we played... grown up and old

I just shook my head... my little brother so fine
And never shows his fine *** smile to the world
Well, maybe, this peach cobbler will do the trick
I know sis can make you grin like a Cheshire cat
    I can’t wait

    Now, don’t be late
    Don’t forget the oil can
You might bring a hammer too
    ‘Cause this house needs fixin’
    That only you can do

See ya ‘round noon, little brother...

    Act 2

    Sorry I haven't been a round in a while
been out trying to find myself...
got lost somewhere between 3 and 4 o'clock
bout two months back after work
    ...just sitting and thinking
where I was in this machine we call life
other than between the unoiled gears
    that churned along my bones
    I hurt for so long
still trying to unearth pain's roots that planted
themselves into me and stretched out it's
arms and grew from bathing in the tears.

    peach cobbler...hmmm...that sounds good
ya know mama said that it's good for the soul
    cinnamon, nutmeg, homemade crust
    there's nothing like homemade crust
yeah I guess I am a little different like that
    satiated by crust...funny isn't it
I haven't smiled like this since we last played
now here we are, hours packed away
    in shoeboxes beneath the bed.

Sister I am beginning to smile now but that
stern look of mystery you see
is built of a strong foundation of
    experiences that have vandalized my
insides and I've been choking from the fumes
that have been inhaled by the leaves of the
plants whose roots have stabbed me for so
    ****...long
that look has been my closet door kept
closed / holding things in I wish I could share
but my love for humanity is too strong
    and I don't want to hurt anyone...but...

I will take you up on your peach cobbler
and it will be good to see you again.
I'll bring my hammer and oil
and get around the house to fix this and that
    and just feel good again...

    see you 'round noon.

    This is madddd fresh
    Very crisp and aromatic
    Like peach cobbler crust
    And juicy like its guts
I could sink my teeth into this poem
And have the emotions for dessert.
    This was very well scribed.
