Black Poetry : Peace?

Where the Prince of peace is not
Peace cannot come
And where I am found there
Shall never be peace
Watching the decaying corpses
Of poets of old
Those who suffered tragedies
Both mental and physical
Provides me with a rush
And motivation
To scribe
Regarding
A new plan
To cover the land in Darkness
Where no Light can be found
In the midst of the night
The enemy shall strike
When one least expect
What shall happen to the unexpecting?
Did not the Holy Writ warn us?
To be sober and vigilant
Then why are we often caught unaware?
Doesn’t matter
It’s fun this way
Pouncing when one is not looking
Like a driveby
You never know where it’s coming from
Until you are hit
Or someone is hit
Doesn’t matter who is hit
As long as the hit
Hits a mark
We glory in other’s tragedies
Make fun at their inadequacies
For this judgment cometh
The handwriting is on the wall
And the message is clear
Be watchful for your adversary
Roameth the earth to and fro seeking
Whom he may devour
Make sure it isn’t you…

I know I been gone, has it been that long?

My eyes drip bitter tears
As I search the pages for scribes
from my dears.
I hear , pain and anger and malice.
What has become of the Destee Palace!
I know it wasn't me this time...out of sight
and probably out of mind! I am searching
and seeking and hoping to find.
That the love will return and the true fruit
will again flourish on the vine...
Blessings on ya house!
