    Patience
    By: afroprincess

Clicking away there on the wall
Tocking the moments into an endless fall
    Pounding the bells
    Whistles from the sails

On the open sea it’s as if it doesn’t really exist
As if the ticking and tocking are all in my head
Rolling and sounding crazy continuously alarming with no end

What if I’m imagining the world around me
What if everything were to let everything be
Whose to know what’s what and what’s not to us few
Whose to know if I’ve used my last shot with you

Questions of this sort swirl around
Understanding avoids me cause it’s unwilling to be found
    Simplicity is all I seek
    Something to break this shell
Make me more mild than meek
Help me reach you through the sensualness
    I wish to possess

Oh this time is with holding a dream of mine
Slowing it scrambles my senses to a point of restlessness
    Take the time away
Push me to you and you to me
Erase the boundaries this ticking and tocking has evoked in we

    All I seek is simplicity
Without time unfolding taking with it our strong loving electricity
    A simplistic explanation
    For all this frustration
    Is what I all want

    Patience, they say
With time things will go my way
Patience is a virtue I as yet do not possess
Waiting has never been something I do best
But if with time comes you
Then it looks like I better get a hobby
Because something needs to hold me over until I get to you

    ***What you think?***

Now you have said more than a mouthful here.
    "PATIENCE"
Something I am still learning to have. I remember
a time when I had none. My mommy always use to
say "I'm going to pray for you some patience".:)
My patience is constantly being tested daily, however
I do believe all things will come in time. So I wait.... on time...

The depth of this scribe was awesome. Very nice work.
