Passing
(Dedicated (finally) to Kim, Sheryl and those who have lost their mothers)
By Cindy
Something I read
Very profound
Said
When a parent passes
The world changes so
That you can no longer
Be a child
Finding yourself
Without
Alone
Motherless
You know
What an orphan feels like
In your darkest hour
You think those thoughts
Without realizing
That you are not
Alone
Parentless
For she has become
A better person
Without this world’s
Obligations
And the need to escape
Into a bottle
She is there
Watching over you
Like she never did before
Hoping that fond memories
Surface
Replacing bad to good in your heart
Never alone
Not an orphan
Although physical presence removed
Her most precious heart remains
Focused on you
And all the happiness you gave
Winters and summers
Sunrise and sunsets
What you need to know
No one
Is ever gone long
Only just removed from your sight
