    i know it must be
    disheartening
    to see the corruption
    and filth...we live in
    ...the hatred for each other
even when trying to be friends

    excuse me
    for approaching you
    on such a sour note
    but some of us
    children
    women
    and men folk
would like you to know what you aready know

    we screwed up
when we walked away from your grace
to face the taste of waste in our face
and PRIDE is keeping us distanced from you
who gives us life and make dreams come true

i know, if you wished, you could blow us away
and bring back perfection another day
    but FATHER
    i ask
    for those who are good
    allow us a chance
    to change
    if you would

    i'm sure it pains you
to see what we've done to your creation
    as nation after nation
    rise up in hatred

    it wasn't what you meant
    when you said
    BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY
    and fill this nation
    not with degradation
but with the joyful souls of loving relations

    YOUR theme is so clear
to he who wants to hear

    but he doesn't live here
    anymore
    as year after year
    finds us
    consumed by lust
    distrust
    greed and envy
    for all we can see
is an air for disrupting all that is good
    and stable
...trying to live as they should
    or would
    if we would let them

    Pardon Me.

    Baller,

This poetic supplication reminds me of a prophet's prayer unto God in the old testament. It is so similiar, so much so, that I am awestruck. Thanks again for sharing this poetic intercession.

*you dun done it for the third time now :)*

    Prayer!

A piece as earnest and thoughtful as the writer--well done issue--putting into words the convictions of the writer, we are exposed to another side and it is a nice picture--well done--Amun-Ra
