The Pan African March is the 'million man march' and 'live 8' in one, and more. It is organized For Africans, By Africans.

On this day, black males and females throughout Africa and the Diaspora, will march as one, under the banner of Pan-Africanism. Teams of local organizers in 7 countries on the continent of Africa have already started preparations. They already have march routes and locations set, a list of speakers and artists, local and international, and a few orators, for the event.

The event includes a march, followed by live addresses from Pan-African activists and performances from local as well as international artists, at events taking place at the same time in the capital cities of participating countries, televised live to millions; hopefully also in countries that prevent the event.

This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the masses of Africans worldwide to speak as one, and also voice their collective concern over the state of the motherland, also a means of sending a message to all black leadership, especially concerning the politically suppressed reality Pan-Africanism finds more support among the grassroots than many are comfortable with. We hope as such to add impetus to flailing official efforts to unite the continent. The message should be sent out that Africans want complete unification of the motherland, and partial efforts on the part of our leaders will not do. There is too much at stake, therefore the requirement is that we go all the way.

We hope to make this the biggest event Africans worldwide ever organized, viewed by millions around the world. This event can be compared to Live8, the only difference being this time it will be done for Africans, by Africans.

Spread the word people. Get this one out to as many people as you can. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have suggestions, or see how you can help out with organization.

most excellent!! thanks for the connect. will check it out.

(only a small nitpick: could this not be much more than "once in a lifetime"? maybe "first ever"? annually until it gets done?)

"a "movement" moves a little bit, then it stops; moves a little bit more then stops. a "revolution" keeps right on rolling until it gets where it is going!"

This is a fascinating idea and concept. I regret that I'm learning of it too late to participate in it. Hopefully this will become an annual event, so I can participate in future ones.
