Why is it that so many of us are PLAYING for these sports teams, yet not owning them? What steps can we take to own our sports teams? Not only that, what steps can we take to actually own the stadium they play in?

Again because you are in captivity, you are limited in what you can do here, that's why. The way the system works only a selected few are allowed to join in the elite circle that controls these things. Isn't Ironic that Micheal Jordan, he is the only Black person to own a majority share of an NBA team. That's reality.

To own a professional sports team one or a group of people must have very, very, very deep pockets to sustain a team over the long haul. Robert Johnson found this out and sold his NBA team after three or four seasons (I believe it was 3 or 4 seasons) The large majority of professional sports team owners make their money from other interests and owning the sports team is a very expensive hobby although winning teams do make a profit especially if they are in large media markets. I suspect Michael Jordan will sell his share of the Charlotte Bobcats very soon. It is just not a good investment unless you are a billionaire through other businesses and can afford to take a major loss every year on the sports team.
How about this. Instead of owning a professional sports team, how about owning a manufacturing plant in America and hiring black people to work in them or taking the same amount it would cost to own a professional sports team and invest those millions in something that would benefit black americans.

the issue is how can blacks morph from being consumers to being producers?
the answer to that is a change of mindset. many blacks have the money to own.
collectively we certainly have the money to own. what we lack is the mentality to own.

    it is the mindset.
