What's goin on brothers and sisters?
This is our time.
There is no justification for letting time pass us by.
Seize the moment,
If it tries to evade then hold it.

Moms and dads, cease conflict.
You could be raising a future convict,
He's watching you- teach him common sense.
Domestic violence shouldn't exist.
When you raise your fist
Think of your kids.
Think of Wives who cried out for their husbands
As they were sold to another plantation.
Think of how much they needed them then,
Think of this and be grateful for the chance
That you have today, to be a real man.

Black girls respect your bodies.
You are more than sex things and hobbies.
You can do more than shake your *** and lick your lips,
You can be anything from a poet- to a scientist.

Black boys, be strong.
I know it's hard, but prove them wrong.
We are not just thugs and killers,
Illiterate high school dropouts or drug dealers.
Show them that we can do something other than shoot a ball
Or rap and sing in a song.
Not that that's wrong but there is so much to be done.

Let's expand our horizons.
Let's re-write the statistics
Lets make them understand this-that
Now is when we move, we must progress.
Not tomorrow, next year, or next decade
Now is when black society should be re-made
If you don't help us, then don't complain
Don't cry or whine
Because brothers and sisters
This is our time.
