    There’s Blake’s songs on life,
    Keats has his place,
But neither of the two had my face
    Or understood my race,
    Look at our poets,
Smooth like Nubian skin with their pens,
    Speaking about life,
    My life,
    Through poetic devices
Making it twice as nice without a price,
    Look at our poets,
It doesn’t cost a dime for free verse,
Mutual, mental emancipation delineates the sensation
Felt by seeing culture transformed to ink from a pen,
And then back again, creating a City
Bigger then any streets of concrete,
    Look at our poets.
