    We cried
    About the hurts
    That our enemies brought
    We were anguished
    By the destruction
    That our enemies wrought
    We examine well
    The doctrines
    That we had been taught
    And at last
    Our enemies
    We had caught
    We looked into our grasps
    And screamed
    So distraught
    For we had become
    Our own enemy
It was our ownselves that we fought......

You certainly hit the nail on the head with this one. Loved the way you brought it straight to the point.

We cried so dearly for freedom
    Just to breathe fresh air
All the years we demanded our treatment was unfair
    Pain was our company
    Shame was our friend
Yet we became the executioners at the very end

    All that we wanted
We took from our own hands
We helped to kill our babies
    We polluted our own lands

All we claimed them to be
    We became the very same
    Same treatment of our people
    Just a different time frame
