Conscious man and woman
knowing things are not as they seem
knowing there's no real American dream
realizing the only way we grow
is as a people
and as we divide
we die inside
flesh keeps on living, walking the Earth like zombies
believing that racism's dead while the devil's among me
when I say the devil..man he runs this country
Dangerous Minds...they try to hold in check
keep us broke, with no respect
we're not beneath you, but we're all around you
hovering over like hawks, until it's time to eat
but we can't devour your rotten meat
we feast on knowledge
we feast on love
love of one another, but at times we fast
These Dangerous Minds...they try to hold back
pit us against eachother
glorify hating our own black skin and women
for a dollar, and like fools we take
and disintegrate
leaving a bloody mess
of our own black flesh
Our Dangerous Minds....we need to check ourselves
they can't stop us, but we hold ourselves back
walking in reverse, self-destructive acts
that's why they love, to see us hate
reflections in the mirror
we must embrace

They sit back & grin cuz we're doing their work 4 them, still.

The masters of tricknology have tricked us into believin, all is fine & dandy so we'd relax & forget about our past which isn't 2 far in the past.

We fight each other while our adversaries watch, thinking soon, they won't have enough soldiers 2 fight the battle & they'll be in the same boat as the Natives, d@mn near extinct.

Speak on it, brother.
