    I cannot hold your torch
If you will not open your eyes, and
    I cannot share your burden
If you will not stand, rise, and
    I cannot be your shelter
If you will not find your pride
    My cries
    Cannot bring you back
    Our cries
    Cannot bring them back

I take you down into the gentle cool of my earth
    Where life begins
    And ends
    Where seeds are nurtured
    Your seed
    Is nurtured
    And we
    Become
    Our us
    Becomes

    Your son is
    My sorrow, and
    My joy is
    His life, and
    His life comes from
    Your love, but
    Your love is My pain...

And we begin the cycle again

    My mothers
    My sisters
    My daughters

    Our fathers
    Our brothers
    Our sons

    My cries
    Cannot bring you back
    Our cries
    Cannot bring them back
    And not matter how you
    Or we
    Or I
    Try

    Our tears
    Never
    Dry

Thank you for sharing. Maybe one day we'll be able to dry our weeping eyes, but right now I need to dry my eyes, b/c you just touched my heart. Thank You
