in 5 hours, we're going to have an opportunity to learn once again that America
does not value Black life. The fix is already in so the max he can get is 14
years. so, in my book, there's no sentence they can return that would satisfy
me. But anything less than the max is yet another sucker punch to the head of
every American of African descent.

mutha******

I feel like a 6 foot 5 and a half inch 265 pound ******* baby.. walking around
this mutha**** pouting about what I knew was going to happen. I just deleted
half of my facebook friends because they're still talking about what they did
last night.. they don't give a **** about what's happening to our kids.. just,
the club, the church and a bunch of other trivial ****...

I wonder if cows raised for slaughter rationalize what happens to the cows that
go into the slaughter house and never return. I wonder if they know that they
are being slaughtered. Cause if they do, they are smarter than most of the
black people I know. Stupid stupid stupid.. still talking like this is some
isolated incident. like it's not part of an unrelenting assault against us. Man,
I need a ******* drink.

Later.

My facebook profile says this:

"Skuderjaymes says, "yeah, that's cool but what about Oscar?" Don't ever forget Oscar. Don't ever ride Bart and not think about Oscar. Don't ever see another cop and not think about Oscar Grant. Never."

I get a loving response from my younger cousin that speaks about forgiveness and not becoming bitter.. And I understand where he is coming
from.. I go back at him with this:

We have been taught to fear our anger.. to hurry up and put it away before
someone sees it but at some point we have to wake up and recognize that
that is all part of a system of control. Bitterness has it uses. The question
is: are you mature enough to use it responsibly?.. to do the right thing? We
have been taught to just let things go, that God will take care of it. Well, I
don’t believe that. My God is a much bigger God than that.. and has much
bigger things to tend to.. the details of these things are then left to me to
manage. We can never forget Oscar.. nor the 100s / 1000s of other
unwitnessed deaths of black men at the hands of law enforcement. We
can't forget them; if we do, its like saying their lives didn't matter. And
that's not true. Mis-applied ideas of forgiveness are responsible for our
current condition. Where is the movement to disarm BART Police? Where is
the movement to reign in the heavy-handed & egocentric 'shoot first, ask
questions later' attitude that runs rampant in law enforcement agencies?
Where is the outrage? Where is the public outcry to change the system that
allowed the case to moved out of Oakland? Where is the will to demand a
change to the system that allows juries to be legally rigged? Where is the
Outrage? I'll tell you: only in the young. Because they don't believe that
their lives are worthless. Because the old have ceased caring. They have
learned that it does not pay to care about black people. Their own people.
Not publicly anyway. So, what use are powerful Black people if they can't
use their power on the behalf of powerless black people? If they won't?
with that said,

If the wolf can convince the sheep to come to him, he will no longer need
to hunt. We have been duped into docile, lamb-like behavior andour
children are paying the price for it.

I won't ever forget Oscar and I won't ever forgive. I'll take it and make it
apart of me.. and let it color my life. I can carry that. I'm strong enough.. in
fact, I believe that that's what my strength is for.

When I see Oscar down there on the ground bleeding out with no
ambulance on the way.. not effort to stop the bleeding.. just white self-
preservation kicking in.. 'look surprised after.. take off the cuffs.. cover
your own ***
'. When I see that.. I see you, Sonny, the boy I held in my
arms as a baby down their on the ground defenseless and dying.. And I
also see it as a part of a relentless and continuous assault against African
existence world wide that has been going on for hundreds of years. Context
is everything and we can't allow ideas of forgiveness to prevent us from
connecting the cultural / historical dots.

In my opinion, Anger / Outrage / Bitterness are the appropriate emotional
responses for this situation. And that bitterness should spur dramatic
action to right the wrong perpetrated against our people through the
savage and brutal murder of Oscar Grant. The particular form of the "action"
will vary with the person.. some will bust a window.. some will write a
letter.. some will drop 1000 word facebook comments on unsuspecting
cousins.. but everyone that cares should act.. cause if they don't, then they
don't care. Last thing: Forgiveness comes after repentance and restitution,
not before.

Peace Sonny.. and thank you.. I feel better.

And I know that's a lot to process for a young person I have decided to just
go to the well every single time I interact with my folks. To drop as much
knowledge on them as I possible can every time I possibly can. If I can't
protect them, I can at least inform them.. Put some ideas in their head and
let them find their way to the truth on their own terms. They don't have to
agree with me but those ideas will linger and as they age and start seeing
more and more things to corroborate what I'm saying, I think they will come
around and start really seeing what's going on.

I have archived all of the Oscar Grant footage I could find. I'm putting
together a bootleg documentary to post on R B G tube and youtube..
it's bootleg because there's a white lockdown on just about every scrap
of footage or music I want to use. I want to illustrate how the white power
structure's agencies mobilized and protected a cold blooded killer.

I'm just scripting right now.. I gotta find a way to work in all the things
I want to say in the most effective way..
