My eyelids unlock. Pupil in shock, I glance at the clock, And realize that I made it. Mouth open wide, Breath still inside, Causing my chest heave. And I’m relieved, That He kept me to see the sun. I begin to fret, At the thought that I could forget, To utter the words ‘Thank You.’ Though it seems relentless, So are His showers… Miraculous healing, protecting, revealing, Delivering, saving, situation behaving, Providing, joy giving, once dead now living… Blessing, relieving stress and, His awesome… Powers. And again I fret, At the thought that I may forget, To utter the words ‘Thank You.’ So I say so now.
