Black People Politics : Open Letter To President George Bush

If Rev. Bevel is guilty or not, his experieince is a symbol to all of the world that our people are suffering still, from the pains of slavery. Consider the charge incest. From where did incest come. Incest was forced on our people during slavery. Slaves had to live in close proximity to each other on the plantations. (James Bevel was born and raised on a plantation). They did not have the option of going from one plantation to the other to secure a mate. No they had to inter-breed on the plantation they were on. The only slave that could go from plantation to plantation was the stud. Incest is rampant among Black people and White people. We should not judge each other for the ills we suffered in slavery, we need to support and enforce the need to heal. There has never been a therapeutic process administered that will restore us to our natural manhood and womanhood. James Bevel did a lot for Black people. Now what are we willing to do for him.

The Governor of the State of Virginia was the first to apologize for slavery. Now Bevel is being tried in Virginia, what a coincidence. Should we just accept an apology or can we resurrect our brother/s and sisters who are being punished for the programming and conditioning acquired during slavery. There is no family in America that has not been affected by incest or some other sexual misconduct, that was a direct result of learned behavior from slavery.

We are just forty years from slavery (marked by signing of the Civil Rights Act), James Bevel was born in it and lived in it, He worked to get the monkey off his back. If he was incapable of addressing the learned behavior of incest, then we as the recipients of his work, need to dedicate ourselves to eradicating this. slavery destroyed the boundaries of inter-personal family relationships.

Go back to Wikipedia and you will find a book on his contributions to obtaining the Right To Vote. You will be surprised at what you read. Also the book The Enslavement of A Free People at lulu.com is an excellent one to read.

WHAT!........!

That pedophile u.s. attorney, the one who has been caught in the act of looking for little 5yr old girls to VIOLATE...do WE now also qualify his actions by acknowledging that he is from a legacy of white barbarians who know know other way but murder and plunder in everything they have ever done....and therefore he can't help it? so WE should 'forgive' him?

MY MaMa used to say....'SomeBody got to have some SENSE!'

I simply find it IMPOSSIBLE to wrap MY Head around what has just been written above.

So, I won't try.
