My Poetry
What it is to me
A sweet melody and sweet remedy
I hear it in my ears
Speak it to my peers
And learn it beyond my years
Helps me overcome my fears
Out in the light I feel so good
Like the little homeboy that could
Only I'ma girl, soon to be young adult
I ain't no woman
My many years are yet to be woven
But you ask what is this on this paper
Or girl how do you get this stuff in ya mind
I ask them simply are you blind?
Poetry is not just writen or spoken it's drawn
Beautifully
Like a colorful painting of oranges, lime greens, and hot pinks
Getting it all out not caring what others think
Betta than fun times at the skatin rinks
Tastier than thick Pinto beans and collard greens
It's my time to shine with my rhymes and well-developed mind
My Poetttttrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee
ooooooh what does it mean to me :shades:
