we tend to feel that we're better than each other
i'm talkin color
we black women feel that we're better than all others
and white women, asian women, latina women, etc
feel that they're better than the next, too
which may be good for self-esteem...
i guess
but what we tend to overlook is our commonality
we are all women
we each have problems with our men, our children, our mothers...
estrogen, period, menopause, miscarriage, abortion,
love (or lack thereof), loneliness, proud of our bodies,
ashamed of our bodies, child rearing, faith in God,
there are millions of more issues
that we all have experiences with and/or have a stand on
and no woman is better than the next...
each race has seen examples of very strong women
and very weak women
i have peronally been blessed to learn from strong women
of varying races in my lifetime
this month, lets reflect on how we can be stronger and wiser
and be there for each other along the way
regardless of race
let's unify for once!
