As we clasp hands and
embark on our boat
We close our eyes
and begin to float
"Just My Imagination"
begins to play in my head
The beginning riff softly echoes
While lying in our river bed
We embrace and sigh
and upon opening my eyes
I see that the sun is slowly setting
orange orb of brilliance, waving goodbyes
The willow trees wave in the breeze
Creating a veil in front of that sun
The birds in v formation fly to their
nesting place, signaling their day is done
We turn to each other and smile
And before we know it
it's night time, the powder blue sky
morphs into midnight to show it
The muted moonlight kisses our faces
as we caress and melt into each other
Wondering how can it be that 2 souls
can be so connected to one another
Still waters suddenly become agitated
slowly turning into a bubbling brook, churning
the boat rocks, the water foams and froths
and even the river bed, looks like it's burning
But now the river is spent and silent
as we snuggle ever so tenderly
Skin damp, glistening under the stars
Floating down the banks, soaking in tranquility
Once again we close our eyes
and fall into slumber upon our boat
adrift in each others dreams
On the river, afloat
embark on our boat
We close our eyes
and begin to float
"Just My Imagination"
begins to play in my head
The beginning riff softly echoes
While lying in our river bed
We embrace and sigh
and upon opening my eyes
