Responsibility - the ability to respond.

Interestingly enough, as much as I've learned about compound words in elementary school and that, I never broke this one down like that.
    I like it. :)

My favorite word to break down was alternative - alter the native.

We talk about alternative schools, alternative ways of learning for blacks people, alternative ways of parenting and implementing things for our youth - and that's all about altering the native ways we do something - because we realize that 'native way' (for this time, place, and culture) is not working.
Or it's working but some of it needs to be 'altered' for more full and direct effect.

I became interested in that word and broke it down because I was looking for an alternative spirituality when I let go of the old religious one.

We were vocal in our response to top down and trickle down foolishness and fraud, but now we no longer respond

Exellent points but the sad fact of the matter is unlike the way we were and Black families were living 60 yearsago, or even 600 years ago, in today world, many see responsibility as a choice cae , closed.

If folks want to be responsib;le the wll be responsible, and if they are not feeling it, then they won't respond, even if they are more then able.

nowadays it's not about commitment anymore, but whatever one wants to do at the time.

Just seems like more double talk. Our people don't lack the ability to respond, we respond daily to negativity so we have the ability we also have choice.
