    keep your head up
in life's manifold ways of instability
your esteem should not be unstable
    suffering from frequent rises
    and falls
of all the reasons for lifts and lows
    in life
don't let your esteem fall victim
and pray to the evils of this world
and if a healthy self esteem
    you seek
    there simply must be truth
not lies passed off as truth
    appearence has close to nothing
    to do with it
you must be true to yourself
and let this be your foundation
know that all men are justified
    in their own eyes
yet with their own eyes they
    rarely look inward and search
the depths of their own soul
    too busy watching someone else
some say it is easier to bring
    someone else down
than to lift yourself or even someone else up
    choose substance over appearance
    I mean...
I prefer loyalty over long eyelashes
    honesty over heat
    wisdom over whimsy
    strength of character over symmetry
    you get the idea
not that physical beauty is bad
it's just that without inner beauty
it is a sad and dismal waste
also, be careful what you feed your brain
I mean watch who you surround yourself with
some only want to tear you down
because they don't want to see you higher
    than themselves
I found that many who say your self-esteem
is too high are suffering themselves
    from a low self esteem
or their ego is so big
they think it is their duty
to regulate(bring down or keep down - oppress)
    the self-esteems
    of the world
though ego trippin is no good
again, I say be honest with yourself
if robbing banks or people is what you like
    than you are a thief
if lieing is what you like than
    you are a lier
no matter what you tell yourself
    this is simple truth
if you prefere truth to deception
than you are more honest than not
but again, be honest with self
and let this be the basis of self esteem
    and again
    don't set your self-esteem on a foundation
    of superficial things
    it won't stand a chance
    choose substance first
    build on top of this
    or risk losing your self-esteem
    by either small imperceiveable
    chips and breaks
    that lead to collapse
    or in one fell swoop
    or by the strength of
    a gust of wind
the mind is like a garden
    consider what seeds
you sow or let be sown
    and know that you must
    constantly tend your garden
    in other words
    search your soul
    then search it again
    and when you're done...
    search it again
for the soul is to be
    continually searched
    even as a garden is
    to be continually tended
    such is life
    such is the nature of
    self-esteem

    Peace and love to ya!
