Black Poetry : On Henry's Edge

There is something to be said for phuckin up
What, I'm not quite sure
Perhaps the rush of doing what you shouldn't
The defiance of "I don't care"
The bravery of "I'll try anything once"
The curiosity of "I just wanted to see"
Just being "out there" is a high in itself
Everybody likes to get high on something

Stepping to the edge
Looking out over the madness
Compelled to be part of it
No half-assed jump will do
It must be a head first swan-dive
Complete with a full turn and three quarter twist
Need to go all the way
Yes, sometime we do dig the madness

Living on the emotional edge
Finding peace in forbidden excitment
Perhaps the confusion feels good
Like sleeping with a Poet
You get so much of everything
Not caring if you can handle it
But you want it

Without caution or pause
We find light on the darkside
Light only we can see
We look for it
Find a way to bathe in it
Smile when we get through it
Seek it again

I have

had such adrenaline...I thrived like that from time to time. I feel what you say...I have seen and done what you write. I can you have brought these memories back to me like floodplains...filling up my membrane. I love it!!!! Lately i've been so boring, lazy, lost and trying to hide my depression... Thanks!!!:D
