I know it should come from my own natural intuition but I wanted some ideas of what to put in the omiero.
    I am seeking
    Love
    justice
    peace
    clarity
    health
    wisdom
    truth
    connectivity
    illumination
    wisdom.

Also what could I find to represent esu?
After making the omiero I have to set it in the sun.
It's winter time in chicago will it freeze?
    Any suggestions would be great!

Are you speaking about your Ori, as oppose to, Obi?

Some ingredients would include efun (powdered eggshells), white flower petals, coconut milk, coco butter, goat's milk, cow's milk, shredded coconut and shea butter.

Before I received my warriors, I used a coconut that I painted red and black to represent Eshu. However, you need no representation as long as you make your intent known and you deposit your ebo at one of his favorite locations.

Is a priest or a dream advising you in this endeavor?

I would suggest if you have concerns about it freezing to set it by a windowsill so it can acculumate the sunlight needed without running the risk of it being frozed.

Actually it's obi divination.(branch of orisa tradition)
Yes a spiritual advisor did a reading with the ruins on me.
Depsoit his ebo at one of his favorite locations?
The things he told me about myself was almost unreal.
    Very deep,spiritual and so true.
Most on here know I have been inclined to connect with the spiritual world naturally since I was a young girl.
My advisor picked up on it immediately!
He told me there were three ancestors watching over me trying to speak to me but I keep ignoring them.
He said they were basically screaming at me!
The one thing he said that stuck to me is nothing will be right in your life until you acknowledge them.
He told me to begin connecting and contacting them and he gave me some tools to start with.
Two obi divination in theory and practice books and some four cowries (male and female).

    Ase!
Obi reading is very effective and powerful among a skilled reader. There is the saying that goes egun before the orisa. You MUST always get right with your egun. Trust me. Ase. Ase. Ase-o!!!

These items represent coolness and are associated with Obatala or Ori.

    Beloved sistah

Not to rain on your wonderful parade, however. Who and what directed you directed to prepare an omeiro?

Omeiro contains Eje (blood offerings) is this is only done by initiated priest

Unless you are a priestess and have performed the above mentioned Ebo, then the Ashe of the omeiro will be pretty much non-existant.

I like the most basic omi ero, which is snail water and ewe ero. sometimes i'll add some other ingredients. you must know which ingredients do what. for instance, you don't want to mix protection (bitter) ewe with ewe for attraction or abundance (sweet). they'll cancel eachother out. sometimes i like to add what is called the air plant, or leaf of fortune in brazil, eji ogbe in africa and prodigiosa in spanish. also Efun or ori (shea butter). But it is difficult if you are not under someones tutelage. your oluwo (godparents should be the ones to advise you on this.
you can't go wrong with the two ancient ingredients from which the term omi ero come from - snail water and ewe ero. both are available.

It is true that a santera or priest, etc. is the one who knows how to activate the ase (invocations) for the omiero. But different lineages do different things, for instance, not all omiero include blood in my ile. again, you need direction. maybe you could start off with a bath. fill the tub, add some efun, ori, white rose petals, snail water, your favorite perfume or florida water or whatever, and meditate. afterwards, wrap your head in white, put on a white nightgown, and hit the sack.

maybe you should forget about orisa for now and connect to your ancestors.
Orisa bi Egungun ko si; Egungun ko si o; Egungun ko si o!
There is no Orisa greater than the Ancestors; there is no Orisa greater than the ancestors; no, not one, not one!
    ase

to practice iwa pele is to follow the guidance of Egungun.
