Brother Dusty Elbow ... thanks for sharing the articles.

The articles were rather depressing to me, considering that it confirms all we already know.

I'm wondering though, why wouldn't you consider it racist, that technology jobs are intentionally made (given) for white men.

Help me understand how you're thinking about this, please.

Much Love and Peace.

Hey Destee, I know BLACK PEOPLE know, but it would just be well and GOOD for WHITE PEOPLE to tell us....

As a white person you may save us the TIME and AGGRAVATION.

Now for that WHITE MAN, he is OLD and he went THROUGH the SYSTEM. He believed then EVERYONE had a EQUAL SHOT at things being CONSIDERED.

He is very ANTISOCIAL in a way to ALL PEOPLE...

But see he WORKS in an ENVIRONMENT where many BLACK FACES come about him, I think something is WORKING INSIDE HIM in a CONFIDENTIAL MATTER to EXPOSE what he EXPERIENCE.

Seeing YOUNG BLACK MEN and WOMEN not making it and BEFRIENDING HIM in the PROCESS for YEARS may have OPENED HIM UP...

Now I dont consider HIM RACIST just an average NATION TAKER but its NICE for HIM to CONFIRM this WITH US because NO WHITE PERSON has gone this ROUTE and CONTINUE to PLAY this GAME.

Plus he said he is LUCKY to have his JOB...FOR ME I DONT BELIEVE IN LUCK, anybody talking LUCK to me my ears start to WANE...

Now will this MAJOR PLAYER in the COMPUTER INDUSTRY do the SAME

Lack Of Black Tech Professionals Hurts U.S., Bill Gates Says

Microsoft is working with the National Society of Black Engineers and hiring and promoting African-American programmers and engineers.

A recent study says that less than 10% of graduates of computer science programs in the U.S. are black -- a fact that will contribute to a shortage of technology professionals in the years ahead,Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) chairman Bill Gates said.

"The United States is not turning out from any group as many of the great engineers as there will be jobs for," said Gates, who added that blacks are particularly underrepresented in the tech industry because high school dropout rates in the black community exceed 50%.

"That is a stunning number ... the trends are very much working against somebody in that situation," said Gates, speaking Friday at a conference hosted by the National Society of Black Engineers at Microsoft's Redmond, Wash., headquarters.

"There will be a huge number of computer science jobs created over the next 10 years, and the number of people majoring in those subjects is falling short of that," said Gates.

According to a study by the National Science Foundation, fewer than 6,000 of the 52,500 computer science graduates in the U.S. in 2004 were black. "The shallow pool of skills is due, in part, to the lack of minorities being drawn into technology," said NSBE executive director Carl Mack, in a statement.

Microsoft, named by the NSBE on Tuesday as the top employer for black engineers, said it's trying to change that by partnering with NSBE and hiring and promoting African-American programmers and engineers.

The company also announced a software developer grant to the NSBE that gives its members a three-year membership in the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance. The memberships give NSBE faculty and students access to a range of Microsoft products and technologies, including Windows Vista, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.

Gates said Friday that Microsoft will continue its efforts to build a diverse workforce. "We want to get black engineers, Hispanic engineers ... everyone that we can," he said.

IN SHORT, I think NOT....

As I said I suspected this for a DECADE and I see RUTHLESS WHITE is ready to WASTE more BLACK TIME....

Otherwise DESTEE do you consider what happens to these COMPUTER WHIZ when TECH WORLD waste their TIME....

They become ADVERSARIES of the COMMUNITY some what....

Just like the SPORT BROTHERS who dont make the CUT, they become a MENACE like POWERFUL DRUG DEALERS to GOOD HABITS in the COMMUNITY

The COMPUTER BROTHER and SISTER get involved with that IDENTITY THEFT when all HOPE is GONE....I posted an article about this here

We have so many FALLEN HEROES in the COMMUNITY when they should be SLICING RUTHLESS WHITE they are DASHING US to PIECES...

Now imagine these TWO GROUPS TEAMING UP to FINISH UP ANYTHING they MISSED....It's happening...that TEAM WORK I mentioned

I figure out how to SURVIVE and THRIVE without LUCK and I am looking for that SAME in the COMMUNITY

RUTHLESS WHITE is just too STRONG and probably to SOPHISTICATED for our COMMUNITY to REALIZE...

Oh well.
