Men been tryin’ to figure women longs as Mose is old but most men ain’t got no idea and it be true of women too. They just barkin’ up the tree, ‘cause ain’t nothing to be told. ‘ceptin’ if you lookin’, someone else is might be lookin’ at you. Men thinks to much ‘cause most women just plain folks Sho’ women be different, but it be the same for us men and no matter how hard we tries, that’s just the it is wrote like two plus two equal four it be the same if you do it again. See, to some women, men seems like they never grows up and ain’t never got nothin’ but some hard lovin’ on they mind while some of that be sho’ nuff true, ain’t always from the jump. A man hurts just like a woman, and he don’t know what to do he gets mean and angry ‘cause it be hard fo’ some men to cry, but the tears rolls anyway and they hides they faces from you and tells you ain’t nothing wrong, smart woman knows it’s a lie. Mose knows that ain’t no man wants to be called no kind of a dog Ceptin’ he be the biggest, baddest and meanest dog on the block He just want to stand tall, shoulders back and be a natural man as much as any man wants the only key to her precious lock. Ain’t saying men ain’t ornery and just a little rambunctious too Mose just be saying a woman’s cloth ain’t that much different that anyone can tell the real difference from these special two, and womens be just as likely as any man to get her feelings bent. A woman got her own ways too, they just be different from a mans. A man don’t need another mamma even if he act like it time to time ‘cause men ain’t nothin’ but plain old folks with strong rough hands and even Mose knows ain’t no changes when it comes to mans kind. Instead of pickin’ at one another, we needs to see how we alike ‘cause when our eyes are closed and our touch comes up lost we find out ourselves are who we be, and we all come up wide of the mark, but it ain’t no big deal—it is life’s simple cost. Old Mose be married two times might have been almost fifty years but the Lawd seed fit to take both them away before he take Old Mose I ain’t mad, mind ya, everybody’s time gonna come, just wasn’t mine And I’m glad I had my time with’m both, ‘cause the Lawd surely knows That as long as I been treadin’ this here earth, poundin’ this ground Mose has learned a few things and one is I won’t always be around. Mose been here a long time, breathin’ up the Lawd’s fresh air and there’s a few things that Old Mose knows for sure got to be true and that is, people ain’t no different, no matter man, woman or child and that everyone needs some love and needs to give love too.
