It looks like the folks at occupy wall street trying to draw Black folks into their protest. Yet somehow a genius comes up with the idea of naming it occupy the hood. I would advise Black folks with common sense not to show up there and act up, the cops are feeding on people there to meet their quotas. Be careful imo this movement has more to it than meets eye, I hope Black folks don't go there and start acting like the crazy white people there.

    In the Spirit of Sankofa,

.......From my view, the movement (Occupied Wall St.) is a grass-roots operation, across so-called racial lines, functioning without a head, so to speak, and is self-sustaining; the degree to which, elected officials called off the mandatory police clean-up. The protesters embarked upon cleaning themselves, received favor, and are expanding rapidly.

Certainly, black folks, in larger numbers should participate with this ground swell, and push back against the 1%. Moreover, this movement now has eyes and is successfully convincing bank account holders to withdraw from Chase Bank (largest recipient in the bail out), very powerful move. Surely, you wouldn't discourage black folk from joining a movement of this magnitude.

    Peace In,

I have my doubt about this, who knows the big corporations themselves might be sponsoring this, you never know? The fact is when bad things occur which is bound to happen as this thing get bigger and more popular, guess whose gonna get the blame? All I am saying for Blck folks to be careful over there.

I would advise Black folks to keep their distance from this, watch and observe, but don't get too involved to the point of getting arrested.

    In the Spirit of Sankofa,

.......And that's good insight for our activity, to call upon our melaninated qualities and act accordingly. Nonetheless, we are already involved in the movement.

    Peace In,

You know there will be a group of Black folks who can't wait to go march with these white folks, as for me I will be observing this thing closely. So far it looks like a more civil tea party like movement.

Wall Street sit-in protest goes global
    http://www.focus-fen.net/index.php?id=n261814

Milan. Protesters worldwide geared up for a cry of rage on Saturday against bankers, financiers and politicians they accuse of ruining global economies and condemning millions to poverty and hardship through greed, Reuters reported.
Galvanised by the past month's Occupy Wall Street movement, the global protest began on a sunny spring day in New Zealand and is due to ripple round the world to Alaska via Frankfurt, London, Washington and New York.

It might get worse if things don't change any time soon, I think this won't help the President too much if you ask me, because he can't go around bashing wall street that will be most of his major donors. Thing is getting interesting indeed.

    In the Spirit of Sankofa,

.......As far as donors to the President, we've had this conversation before and I maintain my beliefs. This movement has exploded, and is deeply/rightly connected to the President's Jobs Bill.
