I'm reminded this morning of my early trips to the 'public' swimming pool, changing in to swimming trunks, and rushing along with my crew joyously to the waters edge; and one after the other watching my friends abandon themselves to the moment and fearlessly jump in. Me on the other hand, hesitating to jump, lest the water be too cold! To all of us including students of 'period' politics this will be an interesting session, Yet I am careful not to get lost in the present gladhanding, history has a way of reminding us to stay "measured", to avoid the dive that lands you in ice water.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD A PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT LET YOU GOVERN OR RUN YOUR OWN HOME ALLOW YOU TO GOVERN OR RUN THEIRS????

WHY WOULD A PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO RUN OR GOVERN YOUR OWN NATIONS IN AFRICA ALLOW YOU TO RUN OR GOVERN THEIRS IN AMERICA?

WHY WOULD A PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CONTROL YOUR OWN COMMUNITIES, THE EDUCATION OF YOUR OWN CHILDREN OR YOUR OWN LIVES SUDDENLY ALLOW YOU TO CONTROL THEIRS??
