This is the ish that pisses me off with him. What is he afraid of? I'm willing to bet this is one of those attempts by some white to use him to get "us" to stop what we are doing.
go and listen to his entire statement…….
I read the article, and the video worked the second time so I've watched it. If it's the "all talk" comment, I agree because this is the feel that I got when I read that article. I would like for him to pick any paragraph in that article and tell me how it helps us, or give Trayvon's parents justice? I'm telling you James,...money is behind these comments. They are using him to calm the black folks down.
'African Americans' need to address the problem of violence in their own communities' how does he expect AA'S to do that without becoming vigilantes themselves?
We can do it, what he needs to do it stop trying to cut the legs from up-under us.
education and jobs solves this issue...without them the violence in our communities will be proportional to the black male unemployment rate....
sad thing about this is that the powers that be know this....
Obama enrages me. You know that.
But, I will admit that this statement caught me completely by surprise, as did his first statement about thinking that Trayvon could have been his son. I believe that everything he said was genuine and heartfelt.
But, James, let us keep some proper perspective here. You have placed your expectations of Obama way too low. He did not mention one thing, one even small thing, that he intends to do to fix what is broke.
Keep in mind that this is the same man who called every head of state in Europe to get them to _illegally_ prevent Edward Snowden's plane from landing or even stopping long enough to refuel. This is a man whose office affords him enormous power _when _ he chooses to wield it.
The ugly truth is that Obama did not commit to doing one thing to fix what is broke because he fears what YT would do to him more than he fears what YT will keep doing to more unarmed black kids.
And, yeah, I get that standing up to YT is guaranteed to get him at the least impeached and quite likely assassinated. Ole Massa don't like being told no. I get that.
But so what?
I am too old to have any sympathy left for black cowards and collaborators. Wouldn't you risk losing everything, your job, even your very life, to save the life of just one black child?
I would. And if that earned me a bullet to the back of my head, I would draw my last breath with a smile on my lips and a song in my heart.
Tru dat Khasm....
They know that this is what happens when you take away the economic base in a community. We did better economic wise when we could spend our money in the white stores, or seek their professional help. But the minute we were able to shop in their stores, money that use to go to us, now went to them.
Ain't gonna say anymore than that, or he will get accused of going against the law and constitution. Like you said he is being used like all other Black leaders adn celebrities to pacify us, that's one his real job in office.
