“I don’t want nobody to give me nothing. Open up the door, I’ll get it myself”
    ~ J. Brown ~

    Don’t do me any favors
Don’t make me part of a quota
Don’t use me for “feel good” satisfaction
Take me for what I know
    What I can do
Spare me the okie-doke of affirmative action

I can sit at any lunch-counter
Ride the front of any bus
    What’s good for whites
    Should be good for us
    Don’t treat me special
    Don’t make a fuss

    Don’t give me unmerited points
    On a civil service test
I can show you I’m qualified
    Pass the test
    Just like all the rest

Don’t put an asterisk beside my name
Don’t use me for a statistical game
    Treat me equal
    Treat me the same

You ain’t gonna talk about me
How I made it just because I’m black
    I have the skills
    I have the knowledge
I made it cause I got it like that

    I’m tight
    I’m right
    I walk in God’s light
You may have a problem with my skin color
But you can’t have a problem with Bruce
    So what you gonna do
    You got no real excuse

    BE

    :spin: WoW Be!

I really love the scribe. These are my personal feelings, though I wonder if it doesn't take  some action to get the door open...maybe affirmative action :court:
