Is it okay to not be the brightest bulb in the pack?

I ask because I know I am not the brightest bulb although I want to think I am playing with a full deck at least some of the time.

Is it the brightest bulb that we need or something else?

I prefer not to be in the pack...that way I don't have to worry about who is the brightest or dullest...because the only light that I need to shine is my own and do it to the best of my ability.

Understanding who you are is the first step in transforming yourself into the best you can be. I agree with Brother Kenyatta and not be constrained to, a pack/group. Second is to understand the definition of what you call brightest, is it specific to a certain discipline. Modern technology provides a plethora of learning opportunities. You have access to hundreds of years of experience right here on this board.

I apologize for not giving clarity. It appears on here that a few try to appear smarter than others and always want to assert their rightness on everything. Rarely I have seen people admit to being wrong even when clearly they may not have the most accurate or correct information. That iswwhy I started this thread and the one on humility.

The only person you need to compete with is yourself.

If you were th brightest bulb (I'm just trying to picture what kind of person would ever describe themselves as such), should you stop improving?

If you weren't the brightest bulb, should you not try to improve because someone is much brighter?
