Black Poetry : noise

there's a crazy noise
in my head
and it won't get out
it's warrior bongos
a tambourine shaking
a pot a wooden spoon
two little kids and
one dog

no that's not right

it's the silence
when
the t.v. shuts off and
the lights go out and it
gets lonely
because the check i
wrote bounced and now
i can't even clean

there's a crazy noise

maybe i'm failing to
explain truthfully
or just plain fully

it's when i dial six
digits and hang up becuase
he's not home
i think
and wouldn't want to
talk to me i'm sure
and what if he does
then i'll have wasted
energy since all i
had to do was let
him pick up and say hi
